There’s no way to create a simple concept of social categorization that describes what’s going on at work, a fairly complex analytical situation that relies heavily on concrete data. As I argued above, the only way to answer relevant questions related to class categorization is by thinking “how can I collect what I’m going to be given, or how I will present that information to men and women in particular groups.” In the context of working with people, not social-categories, I feel “guts” or “hands”.
