Terrorism and War
In the first decade of this century people in the United States became acutely aware of the problem of terrorism on their own soil, a concern that people in nations around the world have faced for many years. Today, the terrorist attacks of 2001 are remembered by some people only when they face heightened security at airports or when the nation commemorates the anniversary of that horrific event on September II of each year. However, many political leaders and social analysts suggest that we should not forget that constant vigilance is necessary to combat the possibility of future terrorism.
